Kamay Kainan - Trinoma

High School days must be the most memorable phase in our lives. There we met good friends, and good enemies :-) Thanks to the networking sites we still manage to keep in touch with one another. One night of reminiscing with the gang ended up with the idea of having a small lunch date. Luckily, our busy schedules permits us for our mini-meet up. Since we all from Novaliches, we agreed to meet at Kamay Kainan in Trinoma. Its an eat-all-you can resto that serves Filipino dishes. If my memory serves me right I think they have more than 30 dishes including the dessert. One thing I noticed upon entering the said establishment is the staff is not courteous enough to assist us to get us a table. So we started to look for vacant table but since we are a group of 8 we are not lucky enough to get a table in an instant. Since we were standing next to the buffet table, we got the attention of one of the staff and we politely asked him to prepare us a table for 8. After settling ourselves we started to invade the buffet but to my dismay the food looks like they are already LEFT OVERS! It was like a total disaster. Its my first time to dine at Kamay Kainan so i really don't have an idea what kind of service they provide. Maybe I'll give this establishment another try since they really attract many customers. Maybe I miss one particular dish that makes them to come back. Or maybe I was just too preoccupied with the idea of catching up with my good old friends. I really don't know. But as of now I really didn't enjoy my Kamay-Kainan experience.

Banay-Banay Eatery - San Jose, Batangas

Banay-Banay Eatery is well known for the "biyaheros" and the peddlers in the Batangas area. It is a modest restaurant along the side of the road of San Jose Batangas. Just a few minutes drive from San Fernando Air Base in Lipa City. This is a self service restaurant. The fun thing here is you have to pick up your tray, fall in line, and then relieve the traditional "turo-turo" method of ordering your meal. If my memory serves me right they had more than 15 kinds of viands for you to choose. This is a budget friendly restaurant. For a group of 4 your 300 bucks will be enough.

Tempura Japanese Grill Trinoma

It's my first time to dine at this Japanese resto but unfortunately we had a bad experience. First of all their serving is too small for the price that you have to pay I don't know if I'm just "matakaw" for me to feel that way :-) Second is they don't serve your order at the same time. The first batch of our orders came 20 minutes after we placed them. My kids are so hungry thats why they decided to start eating even if we still have our pending orders. They are already halfway through we still have our pending order. I call the attention of one of the staff and asked him to follow it up. Then after 10 minutes that was the only time they were able to complete our orders. I didn't bother to ask if they forgot about it. All I am after that time was to satisfy our hunger. I just made a mental note not to come back on that restaurant. But in fairness their Kani Salad is far better that Terriyaki Boy!
